Biography Dr. Jacobs grew up in Richland with three brothers, graduating from Richland High School. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and Washington State University before graduating from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1985. After completing his family medicine residency in Spokane, he practiced emergency medicine and directed the emergency department at St Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla. He switched specialties in 2004 and moved to Toledo, OH to complete a fellowship in sports medicine. For five years after fellowship completion he was team and university physician at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Jacobs specializes in all aspects of sports and musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses. His clinical interests include concussion management, acute and overuse injuries, return-to-play issues, pre-participation physicals, and healthy lifestyle promotion.
